Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave Therapy, a cutting-edge treatment that stimulates your body’s natural healing mechanisms. Also known as Radial Pulse Wave Therapy, it's perfect for chronic tendon and muscle issues. This non-invasive therapy helps reduce pain and speed up tissue repair. It's drug free and may help you avoid surgery. Ready to finally feel better?

Shockwave Therapy is an effective treatment that has been proven to reduce pain, improve circulation, and accelerate tissue repair—making it a game-changer for conditions like tendonitis and frozen shoulder.

Hugo W -” I have found shockwave to be extremely helpful for my chronic tendonitis.  It isn’t painful and works very fast. No soreness afterwards either.  I’ve had chronic and quite severe tendonitis and hip alignment issues for years and this has helped enormously. “

The Science:

What is shockwave therapy?

Shockwave Therapy (also called Radial Pressure Wave Therapy) uses radial pressure waves that are acoustic wave that generate oscillations in the muscle and tendon tissue.  Shockwave therapy helps to stimulate the body's own healing mechanisms aiming to reduce pain and promote tissue repair in injured areas like tendons and muscles, often used for conditions like plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, and Achilles tendinitis; it works by increasing blood flow and stimulating cell regeneration in the affected area.  Treatments are short and powerful.

What to expect?

First Session

Its a short treatment time, powerful pulses of acoustic sound waves directed into the involved tissues administered with ultrasound gel. Open communication is used throughout the session to ensure its a tolerable level of sensation. Each session takes about 15minutes.

Ongoing plan

After treatment, give yourself some rest.  Let your body have a chance to heal. For the next two days, avoid strenuous activity.
How many treatments will I need? Generally 4-6, potentially 8.
How often should I get treated? At least 7 days between each session to maximize benefit.
